Advancing Community Partnerships for Improved Access for Children

Dr. Sarah Rieth and Dr. Rachel Haine-Schlagel, both Assistant Professors in Child & Family Development, were invited to participate in a panel discussion on community-academic partnerships at the Dissemination & Implementation Science Special Interest Group Preconference that was part of the Annual Meeting of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.

Drs. Rieth and Haine-Schlagel, who are both investigators at the Child and Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC; www.casrc.org), invited some of the community partners they collaborate with in their services and implementation science research, which focuses on improving access to and the effectiveness of services for children and families. Their community partners included Dr. Christina Corsello of the Autism Discovery Institute at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, Karyn Searcy of TERI Crimson Center for Speech and Language, and Terri Cook-Clark from the San Diego Regional Center.
