The San Diego State University College of Education (COE) is one of the top 50 graduate education schools in the nation, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2021 Best Graduate Schools ranking released this week.
COE tied for No. 50 overall, and tied for No. 37 among public institutions nationwide. This marks a rise from the 2020 rankings when the college ranked No. 53 overall and No. 40 among publics. COE also maintained its No. 7 position among California institutions and No. 1 spot in San Diego County and the California State University System.
“During this time of difficult transitions and global uncertainty, it is important that we not lose sight of celebrating each other and our collective accomplishments.,” said Y. Barry Chung, dean of the College of Education. “This accomplishment belongs to our students, faculty and staff as our excellence in research, teaching and service has significantly grown our national reputation.”
