Philipp Elected President of Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators

Dr. Randy Philipp, a 25-year veteran of San Diego State University and Director for the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education (CRMSE), is the soon-to-be President of the largest professional association of mathematics educators in America.

Dr. Philipp will lead the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE), as well as continue to serve as Director for CRMSE. Dr. Philipp will continue the work of the College of Education’s own Dr. Nadine Bezuk who served as Executive Director of AMTE for 13 years. Dr. Philipp will also continue his research in the College of Education as he holds his new position.
