CSP Visiting Faculty Member, Reza Shahroozi
Reza Shahroozi, Ph.D. is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology. He received his B.S. in Cognitive Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, his M.A. in Educational Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and his Ph.D. in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Shahroozi completed his internship at Providence Saint John's Child and Family Development Center where he received specialized clinical training in child and adolescent psychology.
Prior to joining the faculty at SDSU, he worked as a school psychologist in a broadly diverse school district in Santa Maria. As a scientist-practitioner, Dr. Shahroozi conducts research in the areas of school-based programming for students with Emotional Disturbance, projective assessment in the schools, and cultural issues in the supervision of school psychology trainees. He is passionate about training the next generation of school psychologists and adapting evidence-based practices for diverse students and their families.
