Dr. Vasquez-Urias Named 2016 ELEVATE Fellow

First Annual Otay Experience Forum Inspires Local High School Seniors

This past spring, more than 100 seniors at Otay Ranch High School attended the first annual “Otay Experience Forum, Breaking Barriers and Changing Perceptions: Finding the Hero Within” event.  Some of San Diego’s top female leaders participated as panelists, including SDSU College of Education Assistant Dean Tanis Starck and SDSU doctoral alum Sweetwater District Superintendent Dr. Karen Janney.

SDSU/CGU PhD Alumni Making an Impact

Since 1978, the San Diego State University (SDSU) and Claremont Graduate University (CGU) Joint Doctoral Program in Education has produced an impressive 204 graduates. Recently, JDP Director Dr. Rafaela Santa Cruz and JDP alumnus Dr. Aaron Iffland analyzed alumni employment data to create a map showing where each of these graduates has been employed.

Rehab Counseling Student Invents Important Product for Amputees
